Incorporated in 2009, THE BIRDHOUSE has grown rapidly with rental clients including HGTV, TLC, TruTV, Current TV, Fox Sports 1, Fox, ESPN, ABC, Lifetime, AOL, OWN, and Warner Bros. Television.
But THE BIRDHOUSE is more than just rentals. We also can help clients achieve their media production goals, from concept to completion. In fact, the Birdhouse was awarded a Telly Award in 2015 for it's original production, "Building History" in the History/Biography category and another in 2017 for the firearms competition "Trial by Fire" in the Streaming Video/Sports category.
We are based in north Orange County, California, serving all of Southern California and beyond. Although the majority of our clients are located in the greater Los Angeles area, we also have a small office in northern Virginia serving New York and the metro D.C. area.
Founder Brian Tweedt, SOC, is a graduate of the University of Southern California's prestigious School of Cinematic Arts, a member of the Society of Camera Operators (SOC), a multiple Telly Award winner, and has over 20 years of experience in the motion picture industry. He is well known as a top single and multi-camera reality / documentary television director of photography, camera, Mōvi, jib, and FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot aerial operator.
